About
A designer-led workspace that connects fashion design development to production preparation — Collections, Styles, Patterns, materials, sampling and manufacturing documentation.
Fashion work is often fragmented across sketchbooks, paper Patterns, DXF files, tablets, spreadsheets, messages, Fabric and Trim references, Sample notes, Tech Packs, supplier emails, and production documents.
The problem is not a lack of tools. The problem is that design intent, Pattern development, and production preparation become disconnected.
We built designroom.express to close that gap. It keeps the Style at the centre, preserves and leverages existing work, connects visual references to technical development, and moves progressively from design intent to production preparation — all while keeping the designer in control.
Help where it saves time; fixed rules where accuracy matters.
AI can help read a brief or explain a technical finding. Pattern changes, validation and version control follow fixed, repeatable rules, and the designer decides what is accepted. The assistant never changes a Pattern on its own, never overwrites a version, and never alters a document that has been issued.
Collections and Styles, the Pattern library, Pattern versioning, Pattern preview and validation, Fabric and Trim libraries, Product Costing, Sample review, Tech Packs, production pack export, Manufacturing Documents, Factory Releases, Rostering and Studio planning all sit in one connected workspace, carried from first idea to production-ready Style.
PatternScan brings existing paper Patterns and Blocks into the same library, captured against a PatternScan Digital Import Mat and reviewed before they are saved.
The Pattern Assistant helps you find the right starting Pattern and interpret design intent. Pattern changes are applied by fixed rules, you review the preview and validation, and nothing is committed without your decision.
We are onboarding independent designers and small studios to help shape the product. If you work with pattern libraries — on paper, in DXF files, or both — we would like to hear from you.
