designroom.express connects fashion design development to production preparation in one designer-led workspace. Carry a Collection through Styles, design development, your existing Patterns, Fabrics and Trims, technical detail, Sample review and production documentation — so the whole range stays in view and every decision stays yours.

Inside the workspace
designroom.express is built around Collections, Styles, Patterns, materials and production records — with each Style at the centre of the work.
Start from what you already have
Build on Patterns and Blocks you already trust. Whether your library lives on paper, in DXF files, or in a mix of both, designroom.express preserves it and gives it a structured, digital home. You never start from a blank canvas or a generated template.
Pattern assistance
Describe the change you want and the assistant suggests a starting Pattern and a plan. You see the result and approve what gets applied.
Search your private Pattern and Block library using Style context, measurements, and garment type. Every match is explained, so you can see why a Pattern was suggested.
Turn a brief and selected references into a clear plan of proposed changes. The assistant asks for clarification when instructions are incomplete.
See the before and after, and the measurements that change. Accept it and a new Pattern Version is saved — the original is untouched.
Pattern context
Your blocks and patterns are not a black box. Browse the library, read a pattern's piece map, and open a piece in context — with the source version protected throughout.
The workflow
From the first idea through to a production-ready pack, every step stays attached to the Style record.
Open a range, then work at Style level. Attach sketches, reference imagery and the design brief. Every later step stays attached to this Style.
Find the right starting Pattern from your private library, or import DXF. Bring existing physical paper Patterns into the digital workflow with PatternScan, captured against a PatternScan Digital Import Mat — reviewed before anything enters the library.
Choose materials from your Fabric and Trims libraries. Link Supplier sources and capture imagery and specifications around the Style, building the bill of materials as you go.
Bring fabric, trim, labour and maker inputs together with packaging, freight and duty to see landed unit cost, target cost and wholesale/retail pricing, and test costing scenarios.
Propose design changes over a trusted pattern, preview the proposed change, and accept to create a new Pattern Version. Record sample findings, issue a Review Pack, and raise change requests against the evidence.
Build the Tech Pack from approved Style data, then issue production packs and manufacturing documents as fixed, traceable records, and assemble maker handoff packs with the full Style context attached.
Planning covers collection, Style, milestone, dependency and work requirements. Rostering extends that to who is available and scheduled, with roster requests and changes, shifts and personal schedules.
Who is it for
Digitise your existing pattern library, markup new designs over trusted blocks, manage fabrics and trims, track sample feedback, and prepare production information — all from one connected Style record.
Work from the same trusted blocks. Track revisions. See what is waiting, blocked, or ready. Prepare production information without an enterprise system.
